For our last day in Vegas, we decided to grab a quick lunch at the Grand Lux Cafe. It looked a lot fancier than what I expected considering it the sister restaurant of the Cheesecake Factory but I guess it is at The Palazzo.
The restaurant is split into a bar area and a dining area (which is HUGE!).
The menu was a little intimidating, there were pages and pages of food and I was so overwhelmed that I went for the easy picks – burgers & pasta.

We ended up ordering:
The Max Burger $13.95
Their recommended house creation of certified Angus beef with cheedar cheese, bacon, mushrooms, onions and roasted short ribs. Served with fries
The burger was HUGE! It was a little bit of a challenge to eat and definitely not for a “regular” person to finish. The patty was delicious and prepared medium; but the bun and fries were very average.
.
Sunday Night Pasta $17.50
Slow simmered meat sauce with chunks of beef short ribs, steak, mushrooms, onions, garlic and parmesan cheese – served on spaghetti
I gasped out loud at the size of this pasta. It was almost double the size of my head and I have a pretty big head. The sauce was thick, meaty and looked amazing but was a little bland. I had to use quite a bit of cheese, salt and pepper to give it more flavour. Pasta was a little overcooked.
.
Drinks: Coffee & Coke at $3.50 each.
.
.
Total damage – $50 (including tax & tip)
Overall personal rating – 3 out of 5 (Average)
Service was a lot slower than I am used to. We went at about 3 pm and got a table next to the bar. Our server was serving the bar and a few tables and so he was never around. We did get our food pretty quick.
In terms of value for money – Each dish were so large they could easily feed two, so if you consider leftovers for the next day it is indeed a good value. We head to the airport straight after lunch so we didn’t pack the other half of our meal.
