Was chatting w Sing bout a week ago and he asked if I was gonna post up recipes of my food. His special request was chicken rice and burgers. He used to ask for either of them as “payment” when I made him do stuff for me. LOL So this is esp for him!
Ingredients
-1 lb minced beef
- half medium size onion
- 3 cloves garlic
- 1 egg
3 tablespoon soy sauce
2Tablespoon ketchup
1 tablespoon bbq sauce
1 tablespoon sweet chili sauce (add chili flakes as well if you like more kick~)
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 tablespoon parsley flakes
MIX MIX MIX~
Keep in fridge and let stand for about 15 mins. The form into balls~ Press down the centre of ball (keeping the concave shape will cook meat into nice patties that are not uncooked in the middle~)
Freeze patties before cooking so they would not fall apart when panfrying/grilling.
I spread butter of both sides of bun and popped in the oven.
For mayo – mix equal parts sweet chili sauce and mayo (I like mine with ketchup, chili and mayo. Meep goes for just the chili and mayo)
Other stuff to add – lettuce, tomato (I left this out coz I am not a fan of tomatoes), bacon, sunny side up egg (a must!!!)
With some fries on the side… we get…..
And why egg is a must….
YUMMMMMMM… I don’t know why I have not made home made burgers in over a year. Meep was in complete silence for the whole ten mins it took for him to inhaled this! Yummy yolk over juicy red meat… HEAVEN!!
Disclaimer – I usually eyeball everything. These measurements are the best estimations but I did not use a measuring spoon. lol

Yay! Will cook when Lisa comes around for Xmas n New Years. For now, it’s my $2 delivered Chinese food!!! They even deliver instant noodles that are worth 0.50c Only in China!!! :p When’s my chicken rice recipe?
No wonder Thye Sing wanted us to try this when I go over to see him next week in Beijing! The pics above can make anyone hungry! Hmmm… I don’t know, two klutz in the kitchen tend to produce mayhem and not results hahah… thanks for the receipe Edda, we will take some pics of our burger- making -adventure just for you.

ahhaha… lisa- surprisingly Thye sing can be good in the kitchen. i don’t know when was the last time he cooked tho~ I can’t wait for the pictures. ^o^
