I’ve been away for the last few weekends so S and I decided to go for dinner together tonight. We went to “The List” downtown after work, since their happy hour runs from 4pm to 6:30pm.
Here’s a peek at the menu (everything is half price during happy hour!):
This is what we decided on:
The bread was served nice and warm, accompanied with a basil pesto oil and it was pretty good.
The mushroom soup wasn’t on the Happy Hour menu, but it sounded so good that I needed to give it a try. It did not disappoint!
Don’t mind the presentation of the roasted chicken, we forgot to take a picture before digging in! (Sorry! I’m working on it.) I found the chicken a little bit dry, but the arugula, mushrooms and sauce were delicious.
The bacon wrapped prawns were tasty! I was not a fan of the beans served with prawns, but anything with bacon is usually pretty darn good.
The spicy meatballs were also pretty good. Not too spicy, but a good flavor. The meatballs were really tender and a good size.
Lastly, we had the black truffle gnocchi. I love truffle, and generally if it’s on the menu, I will order it. This was no exception! The flavor of the sauce was really tasty, but the gnocchi was a little bit over done for my liking.
Overall, the food was pretty good. I would definitely go there again for Happy Hour and see what else they have.
