S went back home (Edmonton, AB) this weekend, so a couple of girlfriends and I decided to have a picnic and canoe on Lake Washington today. I decided to pick up some goodies from Columbia City Bakery for our outing. Columbia City Bakery is a pretty well known bakery around Seattle, most people love it. Here is a peak at their menu and some of their baked goods:
My goodies:
Total Damage: ~$15
Rating: 3 of of 5 (Average)
All in all, it was pretty tasty! The birds at the picnic ended up stealing half of my croissant, but I enjoyed the other half! I generally like my croissants a little bit softer, but this one tasted fresh and was very flaky. And what can I say about the cookies? I love mini things!! They are so cute, and practically guilt free because of the size!
Check out the bakery if you’re ever in the neighborhood! I especially like going there to support the neighborhood. They also sell breakfast and lunch foods like sandwiches, and freshly baked bread which I hear great things about. My neighbor (who is a very credible sweets connoisseur!) LOVES the lemon tarts there, so make sure you pick a few of those up too!
