135 weeks, 945 days of documenting our meals… pretty crazy stuff but still keeping it alive! It has been an amazing journey from student to housewife and then to an auditor; and I am still blogging~
Sunday – Started off Sunday with brunch at Rotunda w A & KY~ The popovers w strawberry butter is pretty darn tasty!!
Lobster club? why not!
It was cold and gloomy by the time evening rolled around so I felt the need to make some soup. I picked up some watercress a few days ago, so we had watercress soup w pork ribs.
.
Monday – Salt & Pepper crispy ribs with some garlic okra! I have not had okra in a while but Meepy does not like it because of the slime but i like it.
I have not figured out a way to reduce the sliminess and have read up on a few methods but none of them really work…
.
Tuesday – A & I went out to CurryupNow for lunch and it was great!! I have been craving the Chicken Tikka Masala Burrito for a while and it was definitely as delicious as I remembered (if not better).
I didn’t know what to cook for dinner and was starting to feel symptoms of a cold, and luckily I had some congee that I froze so I warmed that up (added some mushrooms, chicken and more rice to thicken it).
.
Wednesday - Ginger pork and Broccoli w Mushrooms. Takes less than 30 minutes to prepare yet one of the most satisfying dishes.
.
Thursday – I am out of rice! Nooo…. Rice noodles w spam, cabbage and shrimp.
.
Friday - Lunch w the group as per usual~ Took us longer than usual to decide where to eat but we ended up at TW Village Bistro.
Dinner was leftover rice noodles from the night before~
.
.
Saturday – Breakfast!! Some pancakes, eggs & sausage~
Celebratory dinner for Meep’s team winning the playoffs!!! We finally went to Yuki Sushi (which I have been wanting to try for weeks!) and there was no wait for a table. It could be because we didn’t head out for dinner till 8 pm with the intent to catch a movie right after.
We ended up not watching the movie after dinner but watching a midnight movie instead. On the way to the theater, I saw an IHOP and was telling Meep how we have not had IHOP in over 3 years *gasps*. Being the total sweetheart, he agreed to take me there after the movie and it was 2.45 am by the time we left the theater! Nevertheless, in our sleepy state and coming to terms that we are too old for this – I ordered us a Stuffed French Toast breakfast.
.
It was a fun week and the next weekend I will be enjoying the warm sunny San Diego weather (and lots of Japanese dinners).
